Brigade Group, a Bangalore based construction company with its office in Mysore, is one of the best developers in the city. B.R. Suchendra, the Branch Manager of Brigade Mysore operations says, "One thing we make sure is quality and we pay attention to details. The group is an ISO 9001-200 certified company, established in 1986.

Luxury apartments, integrated enclaves, state-of-the-art offices, corporate residences, resorts, hotels, clubs and schools are among their creations of excellent civil engineering. The company has pioneered the introduction of many value-enhancing features to the high-rise structures, mainly fire and security protection systems for the safety and comfort of residents.

Brigade Group was a fore-runner in incorporating eco-friendly measures like rainwater harvesting and waste recycling systems in the apartment complexes.

Brand name that stands for reliability, high professional standards and long-lasting customer relationships are the hallmark of Brigade Group.

Speaking on this issue Suchendra says, "All apartments are well-maintained. I don't think you will find a single bad looking or badly maintained Brigade apartment." Among the company's prestigious projects are: Brigade Elegance in V.V. Mohalla, has just 12 apartments in all, each with three bedrooms. The apartments, each measure 2,150 sft to 2,400 sft, commanda price range Rs 65 lakh plus. Brigade Habitat in Lakshmipuram with 15 apartments each has two and three bedrooms apart from the hall and kitchen. Brigade Splendour on Lalitha Mahal Road has 32 apartments in all with three as well as four bedrooms. The industry focusing on high-rise structures is not facing any problem relating to materials needed, either in quantity or quality. Sand comes from T. Narasipur side and aggregates from Krishnarajapet region as well as T.M. Hosur off Mysore-Nagalore Road. Bricks are supplied by kiln owners who have emerged in locations all around Mysore.

First public road built by firm

The newly constructed 2.3 km stretch of road at Puttenhalli will go down in history as first public road in modern Bangalore to have been financed and constructed by a private builder.

Formally thrown open on Saturday, it has been named Brigade Millennium Road after the Brigade Group, which spent more than 3 crore on its construction.

Several local land developers, residents and government agencies also chipped in with their contribution. Residents of areas surrounding Puttenhalli Tank, including JP Nagar 5th and 6th phases, had to make do without a road all these years as the local authority pleaded helplessness, citing lack of funds.

Last year as many as 3,000 houses in the area were flooded, following heavy rains.

The then chief minister Dharam Singh came under heavy fire by the residents for gross neglect of the area.

Inaugurating the road, Health Minister R Ashok said, “This is a first time that a road has been constructed entirely by a private enterprise without any government funding. Our role was limited to sanctioning the road’s construction.” Two projects—Millennium and Gardenia—are located on the same road.

Brigade Group Chairman M. R. Jaishankar expressed interest in providing 100 streetlights.
