"Concrete Jungle" by Sham Sunder
Sham Sunder, a painter and sculptor critically acclaimed for his works
of haunting intensity, has studied painting at Bangalore's Ken School of Art,
and print-making at Shantiniketan.
His paintings form part of the Kansas University Collections, U.S.A., the Central
Lalit Kala Akademi and National Gallery of Modern Art collections in Delhi and
many other private collections in India and abroad.
Sham Sunder has won awards at the Karnataka State Lalit Kala Akademi and all-India
print and graphic exhibitions.
He has had several one-man and group shows of his work in Bangalore, Bhopal,
Bombay, Chandigarh, Delhi and Hyderabad.
He has participated in the Festival of India, U.S.A.; Contemporary Indian Prints
and the Asian-European Art Biennale in Turkey.
Sham Sunder teaches fine art at the University of Hyderabad.
