Clare Arni is a
British photographer specialising in architectural, travel and portrait
photography. Widely travelled in Europe and India, Clare is tirelessly
enthusiastic on assignment, imparting her distinctive and sensitive touch
to every subject framed through her viewfinder.
Clare Arni was the chosen photographer for books on the work of great architects
like Balakrishna Doshi (Mapin), Charles Correa (Thames-Hudson) and Geoffry
Bawa (Mimar). Her work has also appeared in Gardening (Harper Collins),
Indian Art (Phaidon) and Blue Guide to South India (A.C. Black). She was
a prominent contributor to Bangalore: Scenes from an Indian City. Clare's
work appears regularly in Architecture and Design, Swagat, Namaste, Inside
Outside and Interiors India.
Clare's latest achievement is the prestigious book Eternal Kaveri (Marg)
in which she has photographed the many moods and dimensions of the 800-km-long
Kaveri, from the place of its birth at Talakaveri to Poompuhar where the
river flows into the Bay of Bengal.
Educated in India, Britain and Scotland, Clare presently lives in Bangalore—one
of her favourite cities.
