The Brigade Foundation is a not-for-profit trust established by the Brigade Group. Its offices are located at The Brigade School @ Malleswaram, in the Brigade Gateway enclave, Bangalore.
The Brigade Foundation is interested in the areas of education, health and community development. Its current focus is on education at the school level and, to date, it has set up three schools in Bangalore.
The first is The Brigade School @ J. P. Nagar. A co-educational school following the CBSE syllabus, The Brigade School currently has over 1100 students, from Pre-primary to Standard 12 levels. The school has rapidly earned the reputation of being an institution of excellence—both academically, as well as in cocurricular areas. The results speak for themselves: all the batches that have graduated from Std 10 and Std 12 have achieved 100% first class results.
The second school set up by the Brigade Foundation is The Brigade School @ Mahadevapura, near Brigade Metropolis, Whitefield Road. The co-educational school opened in June 2009. Currently the school has classes extending from Nursery to Std 6, but new standards will be added every year up to Std 12. Its academic environment and infrastructure are designed to ensure that student life is a truly international experience.
The Brigade School @ Malleswaram is the third school set up by Brigade Foundation. The school is located within the world-class Brigade Gateway lifestyle enclave in the Malleswaram-Rajajinagar-Yeshwantpur region. Opened in the academic year 2010-11, the school has classes extending from Nursery to Standard 6. New standards will be added every year up to Standard 12. The co-educational school has large classrooms, well-equipped labs and library; and sports facilities that include a swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court and area for track and field events.
Two unique initiatives common to all our schools
Brigade Foundation has created two unique initiatives for the exclusive use of teaching staff at our schools:
- The Jump Start Pre-school Initiative
Jump Start is a system of pre-school education, combining traditional systems of education with Montessori methods, designed by a team of educators at The Brigade Schools.
- KNIB (Knowledge and Information Bank)
KNIB is a resource centre that acts as a central repository of all education-related resources and information, with respect to pedagogy, curriculum and training.
