The same has now happened at Whitefield, with the opening of another state-of-the-art convention centre of the same name. MLR CONVENTION CENTRE, J. P. NAGAR
Our first convention centre is
located within the large, beautifully landscaped campus of the Brigade Millennium enclave in J. P. Nagar, South Bangalore. The futuristic building is spread across four storeys and is the winning design from an architectural competition specially commissioned for the purpose. State-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities, combined with streamlined services, ensure every event takes place smoothly and effectively, in the ambience it merits.
Facilities within the convention centre include:
- Air-conditioned, theatre-style auditorium, with deep thrust stage. Designed to provide an intimate setting for audiences of up to 500 people. Also features a multi-technology projection room, state-of-the-art sound and lighting facilities, and modern green rooms.
- Board Room: Can seat 14 people around its sleek central table. Air-conditioned, with large white board and data projection facilities.
- Conference Room: Ideal for smaller meetings of up to 10 people. It is also air-conditioned, with a whiteboard and data projection facilities.
- Communication Room: An air-conditioned, internet-enabled media room.
- Reception Hall: Spacious and high-ceilinged. An excellent space for product displays, information panels and other corporate communication.
- Banquet Hall: Air-conditioned, multi-purpose, equipped with professional Bose audio systems. Two furnished, air-conditioned suites, with en-suite bathrooms, attached.
- Buffet Hall: Adjacent to the Banquet Hall, can comfortably accommodate 300 people.
- State-of-the-art Kitchens: The kind of kitchens you would expect to see in a 5-star hotel, with an accent on gleaming steel, hygiene and efficiency. Clean, spacious storerooms are available for storage.
- Parking Facilities: A large basement car park.
- Lifts: High-speed passenger and service lifts operate from basement to second floor levels.
- Guest Rooms: Ten air-conditioned deluxe guest rooms, with attached bathrooms, are located on the second floor. Tastefully furnished, each room also has a telephone, computer port, mini-fridge and safety locker.
An expandable suite of facilities at MLR and The Woodrose
The MLR offers a range of facilities, with the option of selecting the combination required for any specific event or function. Facilities at the MLR may also be combined with those available at The Woodrose, an exclusive club located opposite the MLR, abutting the enclave's 3-acre park.

Ideal for events such as a traditional Muhurtham, a formal reception, a sit-down dinner, a celebratory party or pre-wedding functions like Sangeet and Mehendi ceremonies.
- Pre-Function Area: Capacity of up to 600 people (floating crowd). Customised seating styles. Ideal for setting up food stalls or to organise quick service lunches and dinners.
- Open Air Courtyard: Capacity of up to 700 people (floating crowd). Attached to the Banquet hall. Ideal for any "Pheras", for setting up food stalls or to organise quick service lunches and dinners or any other ceremony which requires open air space.
- Auditorium: Seating capacity of 800 people at 2 levels. Deep thrust Stage. 2 Modern green rooms. Bose AV equipment. Stage Dimensions (l x b) = 64ft. X 30ft. Ideal for a pre-wedding music or cultural programmes.
- Two Meeting Rooms: Total seating capacity of up to 70 people. The rooms can be used together to accommodate 70 people. The can also be split into 2 rooms for a seating capacity of 35 people each.
