Schools of excellence, through Brigade Foundation
In 2003, Brigade Group set up the Brigade Foundation, a not-for-profit trust, which focuses on the areas of education, health and community development. Currently, its emphasis is on education at the school level. The Foundation established The Brigade School @ Millennium in J.P. Nagar, Bangalore, in 2004 and is in the process of setting up The Brigade International School near Metropolis, which will open this academic year near Whitefield, in Bangalore. Brigade Hospitality
Brigade entered the hospitality industry with Brigade Homestead Serviced Residences—and, in the process, pioneered the concept of professionally managed serviced residences in Bangalore. Brigade Hospitality Services Limited (BHSL) was formed as a subsidiary company in 2004, to manage a rapidly expanding range of hospitality projects. These included a growing number of serviced residence facilities, clubs, hotels, resorts and spas and a convention centre. Some of these projects are independently managed by our hospitality team. For others, we partner with world-class organisations like Starwood, InterContinental, Accor and Banyan Tree under the Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Mercure and Banyan Tree and Angsana brands.

Responsible corporate citizenship
Brigade Group has also taken many corporate citizenship initiatives, in Bangalore and Mysore. These include the construction of public roads and toilets, re-development of slums, renovation of police stations and beautification of parks. In 2006, Brigade Group instituted the annual Young Achiever Award, in association with Rotary Bangalore Midtown.
