Delivery of high-quality healthcare is dependent not only on excellent medical treatment, but also on outstanding medical facilities. Advances in medicine and rising patient expectations require that hospitals provide cutting-edge facilities that foster the highest levels of efficiency and professionalism. Equally important, hospitals also have to create an uplifting, patient-friendly environment.

Modern hospitals are therefore extremely complex institutions and their architecture, design and construction involves a combination of art and science—with an enlightened awareness of patient psychology being ever-present through the process.

The Columbia Asia* Referral Centre is our first venture into the health care domain. Set in the 40-acre Brigade Gateway enclave, it is a 200-bed multi-specialty facility that offers high level care—such as heart operations and interventional cardiology—along with the complete complement of medical services.

The hospital has unique departments for emergency medicine and the specialised infrastructure and facilities (like diagnostic areas, operating theatres, ICUs and CCUs, consulting rooms, patient rooms and wards) required for the practice of internal medicine; general and pediatric surgery, orthopedics, cardiology and neurology, to name just a few specialised areas.
